Dr. Perez is a graduate of Boston College and Logan
College of Chiropractic. She
continues her education by taking numerous hours of postgraduate courses
annually. She has completed a
certification program in chiropractic rehabilitation, which consisted of 190
hours of study. She has also taken
seminars in pediatrics, sports injuries including the shoulder and the knee,
chiropractic techniques and Active Release Technique®
(ART®).
Dr. Perez is an assistant
instructor for the ART® seminars.
She was first introduced to ART® when she began
practicing with Dr. Criscuolo in 1996.
Upon experiencing the phenomenal results when treating patients with ART®,
she began studying ART® in 1997.
In 2000, Dr. Perez was invited to become an assistant instructor for the
seminars.
Dr. Perez believes in using all
of the resources available to her to optimize a patient’s treatment. Since joints are controlled by muscles
and supported by ligaments, it is important to treat them all. She has found that in addition to the chiropractic
adjustment of the involved joints, treating the involved muscles, tendons,
ligaments and/or nerve entrapments speeds a patient’s recovery
tremendously.
In addition to helping the
standard neck, headache, and back pain, using ART® to treat patients
allows Dr. Perez to help many problems that can be difficult to help, such as
carpal tunnel, shoulder, elbow, wrist, and knee problems to name a few.
